Ritmbox Rio Carnival is a Brazilian samba/batucada ensemble playing authentic instruments such as repinique, surdo, agogo, pandeiro, tamborim, cuica, caixa, reco-reco, chocalho and ganza. Its greatest strength is mobility: no stage needed — the group plays inside the crowd, turning every spot it passes into carnival ground.
For a broader repertoire there is the Ritmbox Percussion Ensemble: drawing on Latin and Eastern percussion, it reinterprets well-known songs using drums alone in its own signature style, filling the stage with an extensive percussion set scaled to your venue and, if you wish, supported by ethnic and oriental dancers.
Authentic Brazilian rhythm instruments are used; the show can also run fully mobile, without a stage.
