Glambot Rental: Slow-Motion Robot Camera Videos at Galas
What to know before renting a glambot: gala set-up, lighting and safety zone, guest flow, branded video output and the factors that shape glambot pricing.

Glambot rental means booking the rig in which a high-speed camera on a robotic arm sweeps in front of guests to shoot cinematic slow-motion clips of a few seconds, complete with operator, lighting and editing, for your event. Known from red carpets, the shot turns guests at galas and receptions into film stars for a few seconds.
We covered what a glambot is and how it works in our What is a glambot post. This guide focuses on renting one: how it is set up at a gala, how the flow is managed and what you end up with. The video shows the area we built at İnci Holding and Maxion Wheels' "Gelecek Seninle" (The Future Is With You) themed night.
How is a glambot used at a gala?
- Backdrop: a wall carrying the event theme is built opposite the glambot. In the video it was a green wall lit with neon leaves and the night's slogan.
- Light: a large round light source next to the robot arm lights the guests; slow motion needs plenty of light.
- Safety zone: because the arm moves fast, a rope barrier is set in front of it and guests stand on a marked spot.
- Shooting: the operator briefly describes the pose and the arm completes its few-second move. A single guest, a couple or a large group can be filmed at once.
- Output: the clip is edited in slow motion, placed in a branded frame and sent to the guest digitally.

Glambot or 360 video booth?
Both produce shareable slow-motion videos, but the experience differs. With a glambot the camera glides in front of the guest for a red-carpet look, and it can frame large groups. At a 360 Videobooth the guest steps onto a platform while the camera arm circles them; it is a more playful shot built on movement and dancing. At galas, a glambot at the welcome area and a 360 booth by the dance floor later in the night make a good pair. See how a 360 booth works at an event in our Slow Motion 360 booth post.
What should you check when renting a glambot?
- Space: set aside a comfortable corner near the entrance for the arm's range of motion, the light and the barrier.
- Flow: plan for peak arrival times; the welcome and cocktail hours are usually the busiest.
- Edit template: approve the logo, colour and slogan frame before the event so every video that night carries the same identity.
- Sharing: decide in advance whether videos go out by QR code, email or gallery link.
- Set-up time: set-up and test shots must be finished before guests arrive.

What affects glambot pricing?
The main factors behind glambot pricing are operating hours, city and venue access, set-up and dismantling times, backdrop and lighting design, how far the videos are branded and the delivery method. Share your event date and guest count and we will work out the right set-up together.
