Sultanahmet Treasure Hunt: Chasing Clues on the Historic Peninsula

On 4 September 2026 we ran a corporate treasure hunt in Sultanahmet, Istanbul: in the shadow of Hagia Sophia and by historic fountains, teams solved clues and explored the city through play.

The Sultanahmet treasure hunt is a corporate city game in which teams solve clues to move from task to task among the monuments, fountains and squares of Istanbul's historic peninsula. It combines the knowledge of a guided tour with the thrill of a race.

How is a treasure hunt designed on the historic peninsula?

The route is drawn around historic sites within walking distance; each clue ties into a building's story, an inscription or a detail. On 4 September 2026 the teams started around Hagia Sophia, debated the next clue in front of the Fountain of Ahmed III and found their own way through the busy square.

This format is especially strong for teams visiting Istanbul: they learn the city's most iconic district and conquer it together. Compare it with the digital treasure hunt we ran in a park a week earlier, or see Istanbul routes on our Treasure Hunt page.
