Terrarium Workshop: Succulent Gardens in Apple-Shaped Glass

On 9 October 2026 we set up a terrarium workshop for a team: participants built miniature succulent gardens in apple-shaped glass jars with their own hands.

A terrarium workshop is a hands-on team activity where participants build their own miniature garden by layering soil, decor and plants inside a glass container, then take their creation home or to the office.

What happens in a terrarium workshop?

For the workshop on 9 October 2026 we set the tables up like a potting bench: potted succulents of different kinds, coconut fibre, white decorative stones, cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, red-spotted mushroom picks, twine and scissors. For the glass we chose lidded, apple-shaped jars. Participants pulled on gloves, took the plants out of their pots, built up the layers and decorated each terrarium to their own taste.

Why is a terrarium workshop a good team activity?

Because it is calm yet keeps hands busy. Sitting around the same table, the team shares materials, looks at each other's jars and swaps ideas; conversation flows on its own. We placed a small care card written in the plant's own voice next to each terrarium, so the garden keeps living long after the workshop ends.
