Halkbank's Kanlı Nigar Night: A Themed Photo Corner Between the Acts
On 23 October 2026 we built an old-Istanbul themed photo corner and a Halkbank-branded photo booth for the Halkbank Theatre Company's Kanlı Nigar night.
A themed photo corner is a space where guests pose in a set and costumes that match the event's story and take home a souvenir photo. On 23 October 2026 we built one like a stage in the foyer for the Halkbank Theatre Company's play Kanlı Nigar.
How do you build a themed photo corner for a theatre night?
By bringing the world of the play into the foyer. The backdrop showed an old Istanbul skyline with Galata Tower and mosques, framed by red velvet curtains. In front we placed a rug, a chair with a patterned cushion, a street lamp and an old chest. The table held fezzes, shawls and props, next to boards reading 'Perde Arasında Bir Hatıra' (a memory between the acts) and 'Türk Tiyatrosu'. Guests put on a fez, opened an umbrella and shared the frame with costumed actors.
What does a photo booth add to a theatre night?
Right next to the corner, a Halkbank-branded digital photo kiosk was running. Guests watched themselves live on screen to set their pose; costumed shots appeared instantly, with a printer standing by. We have worked with Halkbank before on a ceramics workshop and a mosaic lamp and t-shirt workshop; this time the stage was theatre.
